Xavi Ponseti Forteza

General Health Psychologist

Collegiate No. B-03138

Since I was a child, I knew that I wanted to be a psychologist. I was always curious to explore and understand the human mind. Upon arriving at the University, I realized that I was not mistaken, and my path along with psychology led me to Germany, specifically to the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, where I did an Erasmus scholarship for one year. When I finished my degree, it was clear to me that I wanted to specialize in Health Psychology, so I enrolled in the Master of General Health Psychology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where I worked in different services for both children/adolescent and adults. With the new knowledge I acquired, I did my final master’s thesis of excellence, “Ethics for robots that take care of us” with a RecerCaixa scholarship, a project in which I am still involved with the research team of the Barcelona Science and Technology Studies Group (STS-b).

Psychology is a discipline that requires constant training, so I have not stopped deepening and updating in the various studies, therapies and tools to offer comprehensive care, based on evidence and focused on the well-being of the person.
