Xisca Rosselló Muntaner

General Health Psychologist
Collegiate No B-2208
From a very young age, I have been interested in understanding how the human body works, especially the nervous system, and how it influences our daily lives, our emotions, and the way we cope with difficulties. This interest naturally led me to the healthcare field and, ultimately, to choose Psychology as my profession, allowing me to combine scientific knowledge with human support.
During my years of training, I confirmed that what truly fulfilled me was understanding emotional difficulties and helping people find tools to feel better. For this reason, after completing my degree, I continued my education and began my professional career at the University of the Balearic Islands, combining teaching with research.
I completed a master’s degree and a PhD in Neurosciences, deepening my understanding of how the nervous system functions and how it relates to pain and emotions. Along this path, I specialized in working with people experiencing chronic pain, particularly fibromyalgia, focusing on the emotional impact of the condition and on improving quality of life through therapy, often in a group format.
Over the years, I have supported people with different chronic illnesses, such as diabetes or chronic kidney disease, helping them cope with the emotional impact of diagnosis, life changes, and adaptation to new habits. I have also worked with people with dementia, addressing both the emotional impact of the condition and providing cognitive stimulation programs, always aiming to preserve the person’s well-being and dignity.
Alongside my clinical work, I have remained closely connected to university teaching. I teach at the University of the Balearic Islands as an associate lecturer, and I am currently also a collaborating lecturer at the Open University of Catalonia. This experience enriches me and allows me to stay up to date and connected to scientific knowledge, while also transmitting the importance of understanding how the body and the nervous system function within the field of Psychology.
I understand ongoing professional development as an essential part of my work. For this reason, over the years I have specialized in areas such as grief and loss, psycho-oncology, third-wave therapies, couples therapy, and neuropsychology.
My goal is to offer a rigorous, compassionate, and individualized approach, working together with each person to promote their emotional well-being. Therefore, if you decide to begin a therapeutic process, I will accompany you with respect, professionalism, and commitment, considering your personal history, your current life stage, and your individual needs.
