Quan escoltem el terme \u201cpersonalitat\u201d, quasi tots sabem qu\u00e8 entendre: solem pensar en com actua alg\u00fa en el seu entorn, si \u00e9s una persona simp\u00e0tica, sensible, t\u00edmida\u2026 En concret, \u201ctenir molta personalitat\u201d significa socialment ser una persona molt assertiva, fins i tot agressiva en ocasions, encara que aix\u00f2 no tingui cap base cient\u00edfica. Ara b\u00e9, en realitat, si ens demanessin que defin\u00edssim amb precisi\u00f3 que \u00e9s la personalitat, moltes persones no sabrien qu\u00e8 respondre exactament, donat que \u00e9s un terme complex i extens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En realitat, es necessari comen\u00e7ar aclarint que en l&#8217;actualitat encara no existeix consens en relaci\u00f3 a quines caracter\u00edstiques o dimensiones concretes dels individus determinen la seva personalitat, encara que s\u00ed que s&#8217;han desenvolupat diverses teories per tractar de donar una explicaci\u00f3 a la pol\u00e8mica. Entre aquestes, destaquen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>El model dels setze factors <\/strong>(R.B. Cattell, 1995): l&#8217;autor va realitzar una extensiva labor de recopilaci\u00f3 de dades, agrupant-les en tres tipus: dades L (observant directament als individus, fixant-se en el seu comportament en determinades situacions), dades Q (autoinformes realitzats pels participants de l&#8217;estudi, que expressaven com es percebien a ells mateixos) i dades T (test o proves objectives i estandarditzades). Amb ells, va proposar l&#8217;exist\u00e8ncia de setze caracter\u00edstiques de la personalitat, cadascuna d&#8217;elles en realitat de forma doble (l\u2019estat m\u00e9s fort i el m\u00e9s feble de la caracter\u00edstica). Entre aquests, destaquen els adjectius \u201cintrovertit-extrovertit\u201d, \u201csubm\u00eds-dominant\u201d, \u201cpragm\u00e0tic-imaginatiu\u201d, \u201cconfiat-suspica\u00e7\u201d i \u201crelaxat-tens\u201d. Cada parella comptaria com una caracter\u00edstica de les quals va trobar l&#8217;autor, pel qual hi hauria setze parelles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>El model de tres factors<\/strong> (H. J. Eysenck, 1967): l&#8217;autor planteja tres dimensiones principals en la personalitat dels individus. Aquestes serien el psicoticisme (oposat a \u201ccontrol d&#8217;impulsos\u201d, es refereix a trets com l&#8217;agressivitat o la impulsivitat), l&#8217;extraversi\u00f3 (inclou el grau de sociabilitat, la domin\u00e0ncia\u2026) i el neuroticisme (oposat a \u201cestabilitat\u201d, inclou, entre altres, el nivell d&#8217;ansietat i l&#8217;autoestima de l&#8217;individu).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>-El model de dos factors<\/strong> de J. Gray (1970): modificant una mica el model suggerit per Eysenck, Gray va proposar l&#8217;exist\u00e8ncia de dos factors principals en la personalitat humana, l&#8217;ansietat i la impulsivitat. L&#8217;ansietat consistiria en un alt grau d&#8217;introversi\u00f3 i de neuroticisme, mentre que la impulsivitat s&#8217;originaria de la combinaci\u00f3 entre extraversi\u00f3 i neuroticisme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;<strong>El model dels cinc grans<\/strong> de Costa i McRae (1992): defensa l&#8217;exist\u00e8ncia de cinc dimensions de la personalitat. Aquestes serien l&#8217;extraversi\u00f3, l&#8217;estabilitat emocional (neuroticisme), la sensibilitat a les relaciones personals, la voluntat\/minuciositat i l&#8217;obertura a l&#8217;experi\u00e8ncia. \u00c9s interessant esmentar que encara hi ha debat respecte a si aquestes caracter\u00edstiques son heretades o apreses, encara que es tendeix a pensar que totes tenen un fort component heretat, i no tant social (adquirit). Aquest es un dels models m\u00e9s acceptats en psicologia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No obstant aix\u00f2, amb el temps han anat sorgint altres tipus de models, els interaccionistes, que defensen que estudiar la personalitat des del punt de vista del tret \u00fanicament, amb adjectius r\u00edgids, no t\u00e9 massa sentit. Aquests nous models defensen que la personalitat es una cosa relativament canviant (encara que tingui uns components estables) que cal analitzar tenint en compte la situaci\u00f3 en la qual es dona. Aix\u00ed, per exemple, una persona pot ser molt extrovertida amb la seva fam\u00edlia, per\u00f2 introvertida en el treball, i els models previs no serien capa\u00e7os de tenir en compte aquesta difer\u00e8ncia.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La conciliaci\u00f3 de tots dos punts de vista (l&#8217;interaccionisme i la recerca d&#8217;adjectius per a definir la personalitat) ha donat lloc en l&#8217;actualitat a una visi\u00f3 molt m\u00e9s completa del concepte de personalitat. Es pensa que l\u2019individu neix amb certs trets que no pot canviar com a tal, per\u00f2 que apr\u00e8n a adaptar-los a la situaci\u00f3 en la mesura que sigui possible (amb uns l\u00edmits biol\u00f2gics). Per exemple, hi ha persones amb un alt \u00edndex d&#8217;ansietat, que aprenen a controlar-la amb t\u00e8cniques psicol\u00f2giques. Aix\u00f2 significa que la personalitat \u00e9s una cosa relativament canviant o modificable i que dep\u00e8n de molt m\u00e9s coses que d&#8217;uns certs patrons gen\u00e8tics com, per exemple, com ens sentim en un moment determinat.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En conclusi\u00f3, no existeix una definici\u00f3 \u00fanica de personalitat, i segons avan\u00e7a la recerca cient\u00edfica, el terme s&#8217;ha anat convertint en un concepte m\u00e9s ampli i abstracte. El que s\u00ed que se sap es que tenim cert control sobre com som i com actuem davant la vida, aix\u00ed com que no hem de pensar que nom\u00e9s per haver nascut amb certs trets, estem necess\u00e0riament condicionats per ells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ref\u00e8rencies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cattell, R.
